DIY Glitter Ornaments
I was looking for a cute and easy Christmas craft to do and came across DIY Glitter Ornaments and decided to try it for myself. And let me just say...it is fool proof. Craft challenged ladies rejoice, because this really works and the results are awesome!
All you need:
![]() |
Glass ornaments (I got these from JoAnn's) |
![]() |
Glitter of your choice (this was from my local dollar store!) |
![]() |
And Pledge Floor cleaner...yes, floor cleaner. Just trust me, it works. |

Add decorations of choice! Bows, scrapbook stickers, paint pen art, etc. Make it your own! |
Start out by pouring some Pledge floor cleaner into the ornament and slowly swishing it around so that it touches all inside surfaces of the ornament. Dump out excess fluid when inside is completely coated.
Next, pour the glitter into the ornament and shake around until all surfaces are covered. Pour out excess glitter.
Final product!

Dress it up!
All Christmas'ed up :)

Did you find that after a day or two the glitter "let go" and collected at the bottom of the ornament???

thanx!!
Hi Sundee,
DeleteI didn't have a problem with the glitter letting go. If you look closely you can see that there is more collected at the bottom than around the sides, but other than that they came out great! I really coated the sides with the floor cleaner though so maybe that was your issue? Hope I helped!
Thanks!
I have nominated you for a blogger award! Well Done! Check out the rules HERE:

I found you via Pinterest today and I made some of these last week. Don't you love how easy they are?!
ReplyDeleteI thought they were too good to be true, but they are actually THAT easy! I love them :) I just made one for my friend that is multi-colored and I wrote a personalized message with glass paint pens. It came out great!
DeleteThanks for reading
